• Fernandina Arts Market is Open

The Fernandina Beach Arts Market is open on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays. More market dates will be announced in September for your shopping convenience during the holiday season! The market is FULL – we are not accepting applications at this time.

Art Improves Your Life

It has been proven that art improves your life. Even if you don’t achieve a “zen” moment when staring at a work of art, you are still learning a little something new – and believe it or not, this heightens your brain activity according to Brett Janes of Zippi.co.uk.

At the Fernandina Beach Arts Market we have created a friendly, comfortable opportunity to view the arts and crafts created by your friends and neighbors without the intimidating atmosphere of an art gallery. Unlike a museum or library, the Arts Market is a place to talk to the artists, converse with your friends, and have a good time.

If you see a piece that touches your soul, you are encouraged to experience it on a personal level – by purchasing it and taking it home. Once in your home, take a moment and ask yourself how it moves you. Does it make you smile? Does it bring up thoughts of your childhood? Perhaps it reminds you of an old lover. Art is very personal!

If art makes you feel well on an emotional level, then it indeed has hidden healing powers even if only in the area of positive thinking.

I like to laugh and have fun, and whimsical art amuses me, though in my home I collect a more serious style of art in bisque colored stone sculptures that have a “family” theme; they make me smile.

We invite you to come take a look at the huge variety of mediums used by the artists and craftsmen of the Fernandina Beach Arts Market on August 13, 2016, and see if you can find a piece that “speaks” to you.

The market is open from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. next to the farmers market in historic Fernandina Beach, at the corner of Atlantic Avenue/Center Street/Eighth Street. This is an outdoor market and it is open rain or shine.
