It is time for the 53rd Annual Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival, and this is the one Saturday of the year that the Fernandina Beach Market Place farmers market will NOT be open on North Seventh Street in historic Fernandina Beach.
BUT – a some of the exhibitors from both the art and farmers markets will be setting up a Pop Up Market Place at the corner of South 14th and Lime Streets on Saturday, April 30, 2016.
This sampling of both markets will include fine arts and crafts, and some artisan food vendors, too.
You can expect to see barrels of olives and pickles from Olive My Pickle, wild-caught shrimp from Chesser Seafood, Upstream Wild Alaska Seafood will have scallops, salmon, salmon burgers and dip; and homemade goat soaps will be found at Soap-Crafters… just to name a few.
So, if you are looking to avoid the chaos of Shrimp Festival, but still want to enjoy a little outdoor shopping and fresh shrimp – come on out around 9:00 a.m. Saturday only, and see what these fine exhibitors have to offer.
